A fruit and tree conditioner containing 60 mineral elements including nitrogen, natural rock
phosphate, potassium, sulphate, calcium, magnesium, iron, zinc, copper, boron,
plant available silica and over 30 beneficial microbe and fungi species.
Why use Fruit Blend?
The main criteria required for establishing a healthy fruit tree is
to ensure that the soil is balanced, an adequate supply of quality
water is available and the planting stock is healthy and vigorous.
What does it do?
Provides a balance of nutrients as required by the fruiting plant.
This improves the flowering of the plant as well as producing
better quality fruit with enhanced keeping qualities. Promotes
a more robust, healthier root system, which allows the plant to
better withstand adverse conditions.
Where and when to use it?
All newly planted or established fruit trees and other fruiting plants.
Fruit Blend has been blended specifically to enhance maturing fruit
quality and improve shelf life, while maintaining healthy plant growth.
How often do you use it?
YOUNG NON-BEARING PLANTS generally every 6 months
ESTABLISHED PLANTS applied at various stages of growth,
but generally 4-5 times per year. More often if necessary.
PREPARATION OF SOIL PRIOR TO PLANTING
Loosen a minimum of 1 square metre
of soil for each tree. Apply products as
per establishment guide below.
Turn over soil and water throughly.
Lightly mulch to a depth of 5cm.
Ideally this preparation is be completed
three months prior to planting,
otherwise proceed from planting.
(a) Place 100 grams (1 handful) of Garden
Mate around the bottom of the hole and
100 grams (1 handful) through or on top of
backfill for every hand-span width of the hole.
Eg. If the hole is 3 hand-spans wide place
3 handfuls around bottom of hole, place
plant and backfill, placing another 3 handfuls
through or on top of backfill. Water in as
normal. Lightly mulch to a depth of 5cm.
Note: Apply all products to a minimum
of 1 square metre per tree and at least
out to the drip line. Keep mulch, one
hand width away from the tree trunk.
